It is essential to raise awareness about narcolepsy for several reasons; one is that the disease affects around three million people worldwide, one person every two thousand or two individuals every four thousand. If we and other organizations in the field of healthcare do not make an effort to educate people about narcolepsy, the number of people who are impacted by this condition is only going to increase.

Planning a seminar to raise awareness of narcolepsy is the next step that we can take. At this seminar, you should invite the most well-known and influential members of the community so that they can share their knowledge of narcolepsy with the attendees. It would be wonderful if this could raise awareness about narcolepsy on a communal level.

If you are familiar with narcolepsy disease and are well aware of its symptoms, then you can donate a few pennies to support a narcolepsy awareness campaign or help in making the community environment better. Why has WHO designated a day to raise narcolepsy awareness?
As the World Health Organisation works to educate people about diseases and prevent their global spread, efforts are being made to increase disease awareness. The WHO has dedicated September 22 to narcolepsy every year. The purpose of Narcolepsy Awareness Day is to increase public understanding of this disorder so that those afflicted with it can be identified and provided with assistance. On this day, special awareness messages are disseminated through various programs and social media campaigns to reduce the impact of this disease.
